Bulk Billed
Eye Tests
Regular eye tests are vital for the protection of your eyesight and the early detection of any issues with your vision or general eye health. You won’t need a referral, just book an appointment here or give us a call 9587 1353.
All of our eye tests are bulk billed through Medicare too, meaning no out of pocket expense to you.
Comprehensive Eye Examinations
Our comprehensive eye examinations will assess your eyes for early signs of eye health conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy among other retinal diseases. Using the latest 3D OCT Imaging, we can examine the back of the eye to detect and diagnose any eye problems in the early stages. Early detection is key so make sure you have regular eye health check ups in order to monitor any changes in your eye health over time.
Children's
Vision Screening
Children’s vision problems can often go unnoticed, so having your child’s eye health and vision tested regularly is vital in order to catch any issues early on.
It’s recommended that children have a vision screening prior to starting school and then each subsequent year after that. All of our children’s vision screenings are bulk billed with Medicare.
Contact Lens Fittings

We offer a range of contact lens options to suit your lifestyle and budget. Book a consultation today and we’ll give you a general eye check up to make sure your eyes are suitable for contacts, then fit you with some trial lenses to try out. You’ll only be charged a fitting fee if you decide to go ahead with the contacts and we’ll show you how to care for and handle your lenses, as well as how to take them in and out.
Repairs
and Adjustments
At Mordialloc Optical, we’re also specialists in repairs. We fit new lenses into your own frames and carry out our own repairs on-site in our workshop. This means we stand by the quality of our workmanship. The turnaround is faster too so you won’t have to leave your frames with us for weeks at a time. Simply drop them in, we’ll let you know as soon as they’re ready to be picked up.
Absolutely amazing service. My frame was accidentally damaged here and they kindly replaced them with new frames. And my new lenses are amazing! I had Specsavers mult- focals, which never gave super clear vision, and I always just thought that was a part of losing a bit of clarity from getting older and wearing glasses and that glasses couldn’t completely fix that. But boy was I wrong! These new lenses from Michael and the team are amazing!
It’s like a new lease on life. I can see properly. Perfectly even. Highly recommend.
